When traveling between Port St. Joe and Apalachicola, remember to adjust your clocks, time really does slow down. Port St. Joe, located in Gulf County, is in the Central Time zone. As you come northwest into Franklin County and Apalachicola, you enter into the Eastern Time zone. No matter where, or when you are, you’ll find plenty to do while visiting the Forgotten Coast.

- Apalachicola Historic District – a scenic walking tour of historic homes and other buildings dating back to the 1830s
- Trinity Episcopal Church – established in 1837 the church, the sixth oldest in the state, is a prime example of Greek Revival Architecture. Services have been held in the church for more than 165 years.

- Carrabelle Police Department – originally housed in a glass telephone booth in the early 1960s at the corner of Highway 98 and Tallahassee Street, the Carrabelle Police Department was the nation’s smallest station. Today it is on display near the Chamber of Commerce building.
