Tarkiln Bayou Preserve State Park is known for its rare display of plant and animal species. More than 100 rare and exotic plants and animals make their home in this park, including alligator snapping turtles, Chapman’s butterwort and four species of endangered pitcher plants – one is carnivorous! Visitors of this nature park can be caught hiking, exploring and photographing the unique and extraordinary life found in this park.

Open daily from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.; admission is free
